Stacking The Shelves - July 2016

Stacking The Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews! It is a list of what books you have received over the previous week or in our case over the previous month.
The Girl With A Clock For A Heart By Peter Swanson
This book was half price in work and caught my attention however I misinterpreted the blurb and thought it was more of a love story than a mystery/thriller but loved the book anyway and now it has expanded my range of preferred genres.

Me Before You By Jojo Moyes
This type of book is one of my favourite kinds of reads and with the popularity of this book flying off our shelves in work I had to buy it and I absolutely loved it.

After You By Jojo Moyes
I can't start a series of books without reading them all so it was obvious that I had to buy this book, I absolutely loved it... I wish there was a third book.

Resistance Is Futile By Jenny T. Colgan
The cover of this book drew my attention it is so bright and quirky
Souper Mum By Kristen Bailey
Me and Jen discovered this book in the warehouse in work and have no idea where it came from so Jen began reading a extract out of it and laughing her head off that I just had to buy it.

According To Yes By Dawn French
I didn't actually buy this book, there was a library in the hotel I recently went to in Turkey that allowed people to exchange books, so I exchanged this one... not for one of my own books of course for one of my Fiances.

Two Years Eight Months & Twenty-Eight Nights By Salman Rushdie
The cover drew my attention to this book being so bright and all.
A Monster Calls By Patrick Ness
You are probably aware of my love for Patrick Ness so I obviously had to buy this one to add to the whole of my Ness collection, I have them all now.

The Marble Collector By Cecilia Ahearn
This sounded like such a sweet read and it was half price in work. I am currently reading this now.

Falling: A Love Story By Jane Green
The cover is amazing and I have heard good things about Jane Green.

The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan
Never read a book by Rick Riordan, or about Percy Jackson: I just read the back and the first page and it immediately drew me in.

Hex by Thomas Olde Heuvelt
I love being scared by a book. The front cover is soooo dark and creepy, I had to have it. Check out my review.

According to Yes by Dawn French
I had a dream I bought this books: so I did! And it has been read.

The Marble Collector by Cecilia Ahern
This one I blame Laura for, and because it was half price! I bought it!

Not Quite Nice and Nice Work by Celia Imrie
This is the first book by Celia Imrie and is the predecessor to Nice Work. In other words I had to get it, as one does not read the sequel first.
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
Part of Zoella’s book club and it was half price! It looks like sweet story.

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
Another one of Zoella’s, about a girl who is scared of anything. Sounds like a good read.

Beautiful Broken Things by Sarah Barnard
Yes it’s another of Zoella’s and yes I got it half price and I am a beautiful broken thing.

Little Bits of Sky by S.E Durrant
Pretty front cover!

  2. I'm glad to see that you liked Me Before You! I haven't seen the movie yet but I've heard that it strayed quite a bit. I haven't read the sequel yet. I'm a little scared to because I loved Will so much.
I've heard excellent things about All the Bright Places but I still haven't checked it out. Happy reading!

  5. I have read All The Bright Places and Beautiful Broken Things... reviews coming soon. I loved them both, but slightly disappointed in the former, as I did not understand why Theodore was suicidal in the first place. But thank you for the comments xxxx
